It's Been a While

Sorry for the little layoff, there really hasn't been anything exciting going on, and Uncle Adam has been working a lot, so my official thought typer person has been a little behind.

Anyway, as I said, nothing really exciting has been going on over the last few days. I have been sleeping a lot up until today. I didn't get my usual nap today, so it was a little different. We had dinner at Grammies' and Pops' tonight and watched Alvin and the Chipmunks, it was funny.

This morning was really my first experience with Saturday morning cartoons. We watched Jimmy Neutron, Sponge Bob Square Pants, and a few others. I was such a good boy for mommy while she relaxed.

Daddy had to go and coach all day, so I have missed him today. He's home tomorrow though. We'll have a good time. Well, it's bed time again. I'll try to get back more often.

So Much to See

Well, as you can imagine, I have been sleeping a lot over the last 3 weeks. Here I am, 22 days old, and I want to stay awake more. Mommy and Daddy like it when I sleep, but with everything there is to see when you're awake, it's hard for me to sleep for long periods of time. I like to wake up and see what is going on. At night, I get a little fussy because I am tired, and I finally have to go to sleep.

Grandma Judy came over last night, and Grammies was here this afternoon. Uncle Adam came over tonight, so I am still getting my fair share of visitors. I like it when people come to visit, I am a social kind of guy, so it is nice to hang out with everyone.

Well, that's pretty much how my week has gone, as always, if something exciting happens, I'll let you know. I did hear some rumors of a party on July 4th at Pops' and Grammies', so stay tuned for details on that.

Another Weekend

Not too much to write today, so I will just give you a couple of pictures to get through your Monday. It seems like the weekends just fly by.

I'm Getting Big

Well, the last couple of days have been pretty exciting. Yesterday I went to the doctor, and they were very happy with me. I am 2" taller, and have gained a lot of weight. I am now tipping the scales at 8 lb 9.5 oz!

By the way, I am not crying in this picture, just a yawn. A kid gets tired after eating you know.

Last night, Uncle Adam came over for a visit to watch a movie with Mommy and Daddy.

Today was a little like every other day, I got to take a long nap, and mostly Mommy, Daddy and I just stayed in and relaxed. I am pretty sure I've got this whole relaxing thing down to a science. What's even better is, I have figured out how to get people to play with me, and I have no problems letting them know when I am hungry.

Alright, noting else to report here, I hope everyone is doing well. To my fans up north, I hope you aren't getting flooded, and to the folks right here in Florida, try to stay cool and hydrated. It is hot out side these days.

Your turn

I was thinking today, and I realized that I am dominating the conversation here. I am always telling all of you all about myself, and how my day is going, and so on.

Today, I want to try something different. I am going to take a break from my usual routine. I am going to give all of you a chance to talk. What I would like, is for you to tell me all about how cute you think I am.

I'm a giver.

Scary Night

Wow, the big people need to keep a little fella' like me a little more informed. I was awaken in the middle of the night by body parts falling off. Mommy saw it and was horrified. Of course, it wasn't a big deal, just my belly button, but still scary before I knew what it was.

Unfortunately, Mommy didn't take a picture, but her and Daddy said it tasted a little like chicken (just kidding).

Not that anything can really compare with that excitement, but we went for a walk again today. I did a lot of sleeping, and generally was a good little guy today. Yesterday, I was a little fussy, but you would be too if you had things getting ready to fall off of you.

P.S. I know some of you have been concerned, but...one word...innie.

Miss Me?

I know, I know, I missed a day...Sue me.

Yesterday was fun, went for a couple of walks, watched some golf...how good is that Tiger guy? In his first tournament since I was born, he gets a win.

I'm stayin' up to watch some hoops tonight.

If you're wondering how everything else is going, it is great. I am starting to get more settled in to the house. I am resting better, still eating a lot, and one day, I will be so happy to play in the big back yard that they have shown me a few times.

That is about all there is to report from this little guy. Thanks for checking in on me, if anything exciting happens, I'll tell you all about it right here.

Daddy's Day

Well, as you know, today was Father's Day, and Daddy and I did a whole bunch together. Early in the day, we did what I wanted to do, and took a nap together, Mommy was there too.

Later on, I did what Daddy wanted to do, so, we took another nap. What a great day. Like I said yesterday, with such a busy weekend, I am sleepy. Lucky for me though, I got to sleep most of the day, so I can be awake tonight (not so lucky for Mommy and Daddy).

Well, I have to get back to watching golf to see if Tiger can pull it out. Thanks for stopping in to see me. For those of you that don't get to stay home like me tomorrow, have a good day at that job thing that apparently everyone has.

Saturday's Are Fun

This is a busy weekend for a little guy like me, but a lot of fun. No walk today, but Mommy went out shopping this morning, so me and Dad slept in a little. Today was Grammies' birthday, so we went to a little party with family tonight. The food the big people had smelled excellent and all I got was milk...again.

Tomorrow is a special day as well, so I am sure that I will need to take all of next week to recover from so much fun this weekend.

Why Soccer?

OK, with Mommy playing D-I, Top-25 softball... Daddy being a hoops guru... and Uncle Adam and Pops being golf-a-holics... who has time for soccer (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Odds are, I am going to be a golfing QB who is also a great baseball and basketball player. But after a while, one can only be phenominal at so many sports right? I mean, how am I to balance a 5th sport with the other four, and being a super-genius who is finding a cure for cancer. If you figure that out, let me know. Until then, just enjoy the pictures.

Kung Fu Ryan

Well, you remember how I mentioned that I could get out of the swaddle thing at a moment's notice? I have continued working on those skills, and have become pretty good if I do say so myself.

Just today, I karate chopped myself in the nose...it hurt...and I was totally not expecting it. That's right, I am so quick, and so strong that I can sneak up and hurt you (or in this case, me) before you can even react. Seriously, it didn't hurt that bad, but I was completely shocked.

I made a couple of trips outside today, hung out with Mommy and Daddy, saw Aunt San, Uncle Adam, Granny, Granny, and Pops.

For those of you that wish to comment, I have Granny (Mommy and Uncle Adam's Granny) who has kind of earned that name. I also have Granny Marie and Granny Judy, and I need to know what to call them so we can finally end all of this confusion. Also, I am not sure that Pops is totally sold on that name, so please make some suggestions.

Well, tomorrow is Friday, and then it is the weekend and I get to see family even more. I just want to thank everyone who is checking in on me. Uncle Adam tells me that he set up a counter to see how many people are checking in, there are lots of folks, including some in other states and even a few other countries.

Camera's Everywhere

Today me, and mommy, and daddy went to Babies-R-Us for some more pictures of me. I don't have them on the internet yet, but you'll be the first to know when I get them. There is so much to see outside. I like to get out and ride around a little bit. It's a long ride over there though, I can't believe that uncle Adam drives that far to that work place every day.

That was pretty much all of the excitement for my day, it was nice to be able to hang out with mommy and daddy all day. I don't think there is anything too exciting going on tomorrow, maybe a walk with mommy, and watching some TV.

Even though I am not old enough to play yet, it is still so much fun to get to see so many family members so often. I can't wait until I am old enough to play around a little more. Thanks for stopping by.

Uneventful Day

Ryan didn't have anything to report today, but I thought people still wouldn't mind seeing another picture of him.

Also, just some notes, if you're interested in getting prints of some of his pictures, you can click on the link to the "photobucket album" on the right and actually buy prints in frames or posters or a whole bunch of other things. Just a thought for those of you out of town who may need a picture to put on the mantle or in your office. I will be trying to keep pictures from all of the camera's uploaded as a weekend ritual so that you can choose between several options.

Ryan will be back tomorrow, he has a busy day planned, including a trip to baby mecca...err Babies-R-Us that is.

No Party?

What is going on in a world where a cute kid like me can't even get a party for turning one week old? They must be saving for when I turn 16 and they get me a really cool car, yeah, that must be it.

Speaking of cars, for some reason, granny, mommy and I went for a "walk" today. Now, I haven't been around very long (exactly one week in case there is a surprise party being planned), but I know there is a better way to get around. Would you believe that I got from the hospital to home in less time than it took us to go to the end of the street and back today? Big people are crazy. On the bright side, it was nice to get outside a little bit. It gets hot out there though, so I was happy to get back in the house.

I got to see a lot of family again today, and Mrs. Kim and Mr. Jason came over last night to play. I wonder if every kid has so many people that love to visit them so much. The smallest things make them happy. Just today, I was kind of holding my head up on my own a little, and daddy and uncle Adam were so excited. Don't tell them, but I have all the big people wrapped around my little finger.

This Time Last Week...

This time last week, I was still inside of mommy. Funny how things change huh? Tomorrow is when I officially turn one-week, and let me tell you, I am a happy boy. Mommy and daddy are doing great, and there are lots of people who love me a whole lot.

Today, I did a lot of sleeping. Everyone had a chance to see me awake yesterday, today I had to get my rest. Mommy and daddy also gave me my first bath at home. It was new to me, so I was a little fussy (just like when it is time to be changed). But, it was worth it to be clean.

I had a few visitors again today, and tomorrow I think I have heard that we get to go for a ride in the car again. I sleep good in the car!

Thanks again for stopping by, apparently several people have to go back to work (?) tomorrow, I heard some people talking about it today. I don't know why people go, it doesn't sound like nearly as much fun as hanging out with the Longs all day.

Busy Saturday

Wow, I have been a little stinker today. Of course, I woke up and ate every few hours, but when the morning finally came, mommy, granny and I went to the doctor. Everyone was so excited that I am putting on weight like a healthy little man-beast!

Grandma Judy came over later in the morning to visit, then great granny (I am starting to get to get just as confused as you are, yeah, that's 3 grannies I saw today) made it into town from Georgia. Miss April stopped by, and a whole bunch of other folks.

Daddy had to go and coach again today, but he is home all day tomorrow, let play time begin. Me and mommy took a little trip over to granny (Marie) and pops' house, I enjoyed the trip a lot. I can't wait until I get to go out of the house a little more. In a few weeks, granny and pops are going to have a party and everyone is going to come to see me. I love meeting people!

I stayed wide awake a lot today, it's a lot of fun to look around and see new people and things. All that time up and about has got me a little tired though, so I am going to call it a night. I wanted to go and play golf with pops and uncle Adam tomorrow, but mommy said that I couldn't yet. Oh well, it takes enough of my energy just to be cute all the time.

Finally the Weekend

Today mommy went in to work for a little bit, so daddy and I got to do some male bonding. Then, daddy had to go and coach, so I was with mommy again. I am so lucky that they are both going to be around so much this summer. I know all of my loyal fans out there have seen pictures of me by myself, or with uncle Adam, or with cousins, aunts, grandma's and others. Today, I finally got one with mommy!!

(Great) Granny is coming to town tomorrow. I can't wait to meet her, all I have heard is how excited she was when she got the pictures of me. I have been eating a lot the last couple of days, you know, like most boby builders, I am trying to get my weight up.

Thanks again for stopping by. I am feeling like everyone needs more pictures of me, so I am going to try and get uncle Adam to put together a slideshow of some of my best work and get it up this weekend.

Hoop Skills

Well, as you can see, I am already practicing for some hoops. Daddy will teach me everything I need to know. So far, I haven't needed his help and I am starting to get the whole dribbling thing down. Shooting will probably take some more time though, but I am practicing.

Oh boy, where to start. Another busy day for a baby. I woke up and ate, then went back to sleep. After several cycles of that, I decided to stay awake some more, then ate and went back to sleep again.

That was pretty much my day. I know, it is kind of boring, but I really need to rest up for my first weekend. Just like everyone else, I have a list of things to get done this weekend. Car ride, sleep, poo, eat. I might even go on a trip, I think it's about time I see what Granny and Gran-pa's house looks like. I hear they have a pool, I think I will get some great use out of that over the next 18 years or so.

I'm a Man of My Word

I promised some professional pictures, and here they are. I have two, but I will keep you in suspense for the second one.

It was a great day. Daddy went back to work, so I missed him, but me and mommy got along great. We went to the doctor this morning. I have been eating and sleeping a lot, and mommy has been resting a little bit too.

I think I have some more visitors coming this afternoon, and daddy just got home. With all this sleep today, I don't know if I am going to be able to sleep much tonight.

That was my day. When you're a baby, there is only so much you can fill your day with. I'll try to get more pictures up tomorrow, thanks for stopping by.

New Digs

Well, after a not so hot day afternoon yesterday, and a rough morning, I was in a bad mood today. When I finally got to sleep for a little while, mommy and daddy loaded me in the car and took me to my new place (sure, they think it is theirs, but I will run this house). I won't say that I was really excited when I first woke up in the house, but it's growing on me. I even saw that I get to sleep next to mommy and daddy!!

Got to meet some more of the family tonight. Uncle Brian, Aunt Rhonda, and cousins Amanda (pictured) and Morgan came over to see me. After everyone left, I got to eat again. I am going to try to be really good tonight so mommy and daddy can get some sleep. Apparently big people don't sleep all day like I do, they try to save it up and sleep when it is dark out side.

Well, I am a tired puppy, it's been a long couple of days. You'll notice that the doctors poked me in the foot, I think that is why mommy and daddy got me out of that place. I have a big day tomorrow. Daddy is going back to work for the day, so I am excited to spend some quality time with mommy. We are going to go and meet my doctor, hopefully this one won't hurt me. Off to bed, but check back tomorrow, I know there are some professional pictures of me floating around.

Get Ready, Cause Here I Come

Well, yesterday morning, I made a big decision. Mommy and Daddy were sleeping, but they didn't mind. I woke up and decided that it was time to see what was out there where all of the funny noises are. So, I tidied up the place a bit, and started making my way out of my nice cozy home. It was a tough decision. The place was small, but it was always nice and warm, mommy's food took care of me, and I got to sleep a lot since it was dark all the time.

Mommy and Daddy had to go for a car ride before I could come out, then mommy wanted to lay down and rest for like 2o hours to get ready for the big event. She seemed a little tense, but I think the doctor's tried to keep the pain down as much as possible. Later in the night, the doctor came in and mommy started pushing, I think the thing that made the pain better fell out, so she screamed a little among other things. Finally, I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Mommy and daddy were on the other side waiting for me. Even though she was in pain, mommy seemed like she was very happy to see me. Later on, I got to see the rest of my family before going to a different room and settling in for the night.

All still in the same day, the big bright light came up (I heard someone call it the sun), and mommy and daddy acted like it was a brand new start. Mommy got a shower, and has been keeping me fed. Nurses are coming by to check on us, I had a bath, and we've had lots of visitors.

All in all, I think I like the open feeling of the out side. Other people are pretty big compared to me, but I think I will grow up to be bigger and stronger than anyone I have seen so far. I can already sneak my arm out of this straight jacket they have me in.

The picture of me up there is from my first hour. My head is a little pointy, and my eyes look a little creepy, but you can tell I am a good lookin' kid. The ladies around here love me. This picture is a little better. Grandma Judy, Uncle Adam, and Aunt San were here this afternoon. Grandma Marie was here earlier, and I hear a rumor that gramps Greggy is on his way. I like my family, they are going to do a great job making me into a really good man. I just know it.

Well, I have eaten and poo'ed, so now I get to do the 3rd thing babies do best...nap. Thanks for reading about my first day, I hope someone will type up my thoughts for tomorrow for me, but if not, give me a few days, I just need to figure out which cutie face gets people to do what I want.
